In-Services
Mandatory in-service hours for CNAs:
Every 2 years, in-service hours shall include: HIV/AIDS, Infection Control; Domestic Violence; Documentation & Legal Aspects
for CNAs; Resident Rights; Communication with impaired clients; Medical Error & Prevention/Safety; and CPR skills. Specific agencies may have
in-service requirements in addition to these.
The CNA is required to have 1.0 hour of in-service each calendar
month or a total of 12 hours for a full calendar year. Therefore, if
certified in June, the CNA would be required to have 6 hours by December
31st.

Mandatory in-service hours for HHAs:
HHA employed by home health agencies accepting Medicare and Medicade are required to complete 12 hours of in-service training during each 12-month period.

Below are the 7 mandatory topics to be covered within the renewal period. They are downloadable self-study in-services. Please print and fill out the answer pages only. Once you've filled out the answer sheets, please submit them to our office for payment and processing. You can submit them in person or by email.
Each in-service is only $10. Therefore, if you are doing all 7, then it is $70. A minimum of 3 in-services or $30 is required to begin. Thereafter, you may return to do as few or as many as you'd like.
Your answers will be processed once your payment is received in our office.
Your certificates should be available in our office less than 5 business days after we receive your answer sheets (given that you've passed with 75% or better and made the payment).
